By learning a few basic skills, you can make the difference between a good outcome and a bad one-and maybe even save a life.

WHAT IS TAUGHT? The WFA is 16 hours long, and focuses on the basic skills:
-Response and Assessment
- Musculoskeletal Injuries
-Environmental Emergencies
-Survival Skills
-Soft Tissue Injuries
-Medical Emergencies

About Backcountry Yoga & Laura Loewy

Laura Loewy started Backcountry Yoga as a passion project in 2015 to help offer new and exciting ways to connect with other yogis in the great outdoors. She is an alumni of the National Outdoor Leadership School, a trained Wilderness First Responder and certified in vinyasa, plant medicine, and teen yoga with over 2000 hours of teaching under her belt.

Laura is focused on offering experiences that make you feel alive. Through soul empowered adventure she seeks to uncover the inner bad ass inside of everyone she meets. If you need some life changing shake up... that includes giving into the flow... getting dirty... and connecting with the earth! She's your girl ;)

When Laura isn't leading Backcountry Yoga Events, you can find her rock climbing, skiing, hiking, longboarding or teaching yoga to kids in need.
